asphalt, recycled metal, resin
Country of realization – Italy
“Biturame”tables project is an alloy of seemingly contradictory mediums. The dark asphalt contrasts with the brilliant cooper and its warm tones. The rectangle panels carefully assembled, rough in texture are locked in the smooth clear resin, tricking the senses of the viewer. The gray formed by several folds, and the copper plate inclinations creates a network of strong and irregular iridescent light, damped and absorbed by the opacity of the bitumen. Through its intricate composition, Trucchi ennobles the recycled metals in this circular table that possesses a polished and luxurious feel. The work is also meant to represent the micro and macro views of the modern city with its strong visual and social contrasts.
